On 21st September 2019 we held the Karatina Road Race. It was successful and we were able to sensitise the community particularly the youth on ways to reduce risk of alcohol and drug abuse as well as HIV. We had a medical camp and created awareness on asthma, diabetes, blood pressure and popularised better nutrition.
We thank our partners and sponsors who include Nyeri County Government, Athletics Kenya, Equity Bank Ltd, KenGen and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.
We had five race categories: 10kms elite race, 5kms corporate race, 5kms junior high schoolers race, 2kms children race, and 2kms veteran race. Many local young people and school children took part and begun to grow their talents.
We also had many elite athletes from as far as Nyahururu, Nakuru, Kericho, Iten, Eldoret and other places making the race very popular and successful. The Kengen team seen below receiving a trophy were the winners in the corporate race. More photos of the day can be found in the gallery here
