Jane Wairimu, 28 years old, is an entrepreneur in Gikororo village who attended the YOVI entrepreneurship program in September 2013. “The training equipped me with very vital information on how to start a business and improve businesses I already had.” Wairimu says. She started a business on sale of cereals and also proceeded to start a poultry and goat rearing venture. “I have used the information I acquired from the program in all my businesses. I learnt how to keep records, book keeping and how to balance my books. I use this knowledge on my business ventures.” She says. Jane now uses her income to provide a decent life for her children.
